Pink & grey calendar style Save the Date cards coming together today. These pre-invitations officially announce your wedding date and lets guests know they will be invited to the celebration. They are a courtesy particularly if you’re having a destination wedding, marrying during high travel times like a holiday weekend or summer in a beach town or have a number of guests who will have to travel. It’s best to start spreading the news around six to eight months prior to the ceremony.

Address your invitations correctly—to each guest by name and guests should hopefully understand that the invite is meant for only those mentioned. Some couples are also opting for a polite message on the RSVP card that they are respectfully having a child free wedding. If you find that some reply with their children’s names added, give them a call and explain you’re having an adults-only wedding and you hope they can still attend. If there are a lot of kids in your family, you may want to consider hiring or arranging for a babysitter. It’s definitely not required, but it’s a nice gesture. Just be sure to include this information on your wedding website or insert card.
It is becoming more common now for couples to generate a website for their upcoming wedding. Your wedding website can be included on your Save the Date cards (if you’re having them) or you can include the web address in the formal invitation with an insert card perhaps ‘Guest Information’ directing them to find more details online.
Make your RSVP date two to three weeks before your wedding date to allow enough time for you to get a final head count to the caterer and to finalise your seating chart. If some guests still haven’t responded by your deadline, give them a quick call and ask for their RSVPs.

When you purchase Handcrafted you are purchasing a piece of the makers heart however unfortunately the price can mount up with not only the cost of materials but also the endless hours of labour it takes to create them. There are ways & means of reducing the price of your favourite invitation such as discarding RSVP envelope, reducing the size of the invitation, opting for flat or stacking style rather than pocketfold, limiting the number of insert cards and limiting ‘finnacky’ features such as tags. If the cost of your invitation is above your budget please don’t be afraid to ask for variations.
Insert cards include most commonly RSVP card and Wishing Well card. Two insert cards are included in the price of each invitation however you are most welcome to add further cards for an additional fee. Insert cards can include whatever you wish, in the past we have done directions complete with a map, accommodation options, guest information & even song request cards. With pocket fold invitations insert cards slip inside a pocket within the invitation, sometimes in a tiered design and stacking style invitations they just stack with the invitation.
Unlike mass produced products and ‘print runs’ each and every invitation at Simply Stunning Stationery Wedding Invitations is handcrafted to order. So the time it takes to make one single invitation individually is the same whether it’s for an order of 20 or an order of 100. Likewise, there’s no penalty for very small orders, the price stays the same for each invitation.
All invitations are fully customised with your choice of colours and theme. Most invitations are easily adapted to your colour choice including the colour of the pocket, card, ribbon and ink. Some are more suitable for changing colours than others, simply tell us what you’re thinking and we’ll see what we can do.
You are most welcome to provide ideas and we can customise an invitation especially for you however we will not duplicate designs from other designers. We all work very hard on our designs and don’t deserve them to be replicated.
